I was listening to Phil Ochs on the way to work today. It’s been awhile since I’ve dusted off ye ol’ minidisk player and listened to some of my old mixes. Listening to Phil for the first time in awhile got me thinking of my days at Carleton, and wondering if the article in which I interviewed his sister is still up in cyberspace. It is. This also led me to stumble across a brand spankin’ new website for Centretown News. Looks like Carleton is making it’s way into the 21st century. It's actually quite impressive.

I have a zillion things to blog about, but so little time. I found an apartment! In a fabulously older three-storey building in Hamilton, nice and close to the Art Gallery, and my favourite pubs, and the library and farmer's market. The scary thing is I get the keys in a few days. Absolutely no time to think, let alone pack and organize. It's exciting, though. I'm very much a happy gal!

Jordan and I spent our Easter weekend house-sitting in downtown Burlington. I'm pretty damn smitten. He showed up yesterday without his beard (due to an unfortunate shaving mishap) which is both comical and a strange sort of time machine. I'm really looking forward to having a place where he can drop by, and we can make good food, listen to music, watch a movie ... without the constant reminder that we're in my parent's house.

Hmmm ... what else? I went to see Bon Jovi two weeks ago, and it was quite possibly one of the greatest nights of my life. I'll admit it; I love Bon Jovi. We all have our weaknesses! My Cohen tickets (orchestra seating!) arrived in the mail yesterday. The fun part is that I'm going to be able to walk from my new apartment to get there. It's practically like having Cohen in my backyard!

I was hoping to go to the official release of Skim tonight, though I'm a tad too stressed out to go navigate through the city. I'm thinking of going home and making some mushroom caps with goat cheese and basil and cracking The Shock Doctrine because it is due back at the library any day. Though really I should be packing. There are so many things I need to do and need to buy. Plus I'm hoping to throw a crap load of things out that I don't use any more. I am horribly cluttered.

Alright, I think that's enough ramblings for one morning. Happy Wednesday!

I can't for the life of me get paragraph breaks to work on blogger today!
