rabbletv kicks off Monday

All day Monday, December 10, rabble.ca and Amnesty International Canada will be working together to bring their web audiences live video coverage of the Amnesty International Write for Rights Global Write-a-thon.

The coverage is a first for rabble.ca and for the human rights organization. We're jointly using groundbreaking online video technology from mogulus.com to deliver live coverage from events in Toronto and Ottawa. Amnesty International cameras will be on the ground in Ottawa, while a rabble.ca team from rabbletv will be covering the Toronto open house.

All the coverage will be delivered live via rabbletv to both rabble.ca and Amnesty International's Write-a-thon site.

Watch rabbletv at rabble.ca on Monday morning.

Our coverage will begin at 11:30 a.m. Monday morning and will carry on until 8 p.m.

The write-a-thon combines a twin-city open house at Amnesty International's Toronto and Ottawa offices, a selection of speakers including Maher Arar and Alex Neve, and an opportunity for visitors to write letters of concern to governments worldwide for people suffering from grave human rights violations. Across Canada and the world, on the same day, there will be hundreds of other write-a-thon events taking place. Last year, thousands of Canadians wrote over 23 000 letters at nearly 800 events in schools, community centres, faith institutions, cafés and living rooms across the country. ...

Please tune in Monday for this first in progressive left online video.
